In this section the authors discuss the impact of supplier intrusion selection on information sharing strategies, the authors firstly divide the study scenarios into two, the first one is supplier with intrusion selection - labelling the with intrusion selection scenario as case O, and the second one is supplier with no intrusion selection - labelling the without intrusion selection scenario as case X. The two scenarios depend on the freshness elasticity, which has been mentioned in the previous chapters, as shown in the figure below:
Subsequently, the corresponding strategies are obtained by comparing the profit of shared information of fresh food e-commerce suppliers with the profit of no sharing of fresh food e-commerce suppliers under different intrusion costs. Firstly, when the intrusion cost is low, suppliers will not choose to intrude regardless of whether they have an intrusion option or not.
It can be seen from the figure that the information sharing decision of fresh food e-commerce companies under situation O and situation X is consistent, which indicates that the information sharing decision of fresh food e-commerce companies remains unchanged.
Secondly, when the invasion cost is medium and the competitive intensity is high and low, the fresh food e-commerce merchant will change to adopt information sharing. The solution method used is still the profit comparison under different intrusion costs, and it can be seen from the figure that the decisions in case O and case X are not exactly the same.

Meanwhile, the red box in the figure below shows that the supplier has an invasion option, and the fresh food e-commerce company's gain after choosing profit sharing is greater than the gain when there is no invasion option, which indicates that the change of information sharing strategy also helps fresh food e-commerce companies to obtain more profits.
Finally, when the intrusion cost is low, many critical points are obtained by calculation, in which the strategy of information sharing is related to the competitive intensity and freshess elasticity, and intrusion cost, and the results are shown below:

In the meantime, it can be seen from the red box in the figure below that when the supplier has an intrusion option, the fresh food e-commerce company's strategy changes and the fresh food e-commerce company's profit becomes higher or lower, indicating that the change in the information sharing strategy may improve or harm the fresh food e-commerce company's profit. One interesting phenomenon found is that at b3<b<b4, the supplier's invasion choice prompts the fresh food e-commerce company to change from no information sharing to information sharing, and it also harms the fresh food e-commerce company's profit.
At the end of the chapter, the authors summarise the above figure and obtain a graph of information sharing strategy choices of fresh food e-commerce companies.

Supply chain information sharing is the process of sharing information and data between participants in various segments of the supply chain. It involves the exchange and sharing of information between various participants in the supply chain such as suppliers, manufacturers, logistics service providers, retailers, and so on.
The purpose of supply chain information sharing is to improve the efficiency and reliability of the supply chain. By sharing information, participants in each link can coordinate and cooperate better, reduce information asymmetry and communication errors, and improve the accuracy and responsiveness of production planning. At the same time, supply chain information sharing can also help participants better predict market demand, optimise inventory management, and reduce inventory backlogs and stock-outs.
